Unknown gunmen dressed in military camouflage have abducted one Oluwole Agboola, the owner of a farm in Nagbede village in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The armed men numbering about six were said to have snuck into the piggery/fish farm and kidnapped Agboola on Monday, December 28.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Command, SP Fadeyi Olugbenga, said “Immediately the report of the incident got to the notice of DPO Moniya, search party comprising of plainclothes/Tactical police teams, vigilantes, hunters, and Amotekun corps swung into action and were deployed to far and near bushes to comb the areas for possible arrest of the hoodlums and also getting the abductor released.”
He further stated that concerted communal efforts have been intensified to complement the existing deployment already in place.
The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu, therefore, urged the general public to feed the police with useful information to secure the release of the abductee and apprehend the perpetrators.
