Gunmen on Monday, December 21, invaded a residence in Dutse, Jigawa State, and abducted a young lady.
Sources say the gunmen stormed the residence around 1am midnight and abducted the victim identified as Zainab Isa Zakari Bosuwa, a 400 level student of Sule Lamido University, Jigawa State.
The attackers also went away with some valuables such as money and mobile phones.
Reports indicate that police on a rapid response shot and killed one of the abductors.
The gunmen have contacted the family of the victim and are demanding N50 million as ransom for her freedom.
In a similar incident on Monday midnight, gunmen killed a local vigilante and abducted two others in Falgore community, Rogo Local Government Area of Kano state.
