Former Chairman of of the Association of General Private Nursing Practitioners (AGPNP) in Nasarawa State, Angbas Stephen, has been reportedly killed by yet-to-be identified armed men.
The incident was said to have occurred on Tuesday evening while on his way to the farm on motorcycle in Awe Local Government Area of the State.
An official of the local government council, Mr Ibrahim who confirmed the incident said the deceased was in the company of an Okada rider who was left in a near-death situation and currently receiving medical attention in a nearby clinic.
According to him, they were attacked with machete by the assailants suspected to be armed robbers.
He added that the Council Chairman, Mr Umar Usman has since reported the incident to the security for appropriate actions.
The deceased is the proprietor of the popular Lafia-based Angbas clinic. His corpse has been deposited at the mortuary.
