Gunmen storm Duste in Abuja, kidnap 5 residents

Suspected gunmen carried out a brazen attack on Dutse Makaranta community in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Saturday night, resulting in the abduction of at least five individuals.

Reports indicate that the gunmen infiltrated the community through the rugged terrain connecting it to Mpape, another locality within the FCT.

According to gathered information, the assailants converged near a Mango tree situated in an area known as New Jerusalem in Duste Makaranta around 8 p.m. on Saturday.

A resident, speaking on condition of anonymity, disclosed that the residents endured a sleepless night filled with fear.

“From what we heard, the kidnappers arrived in this community around 8 p.m. One woman, three men, and two boys were taken. Fortunately, one of the boys, aged three, was discovered in the bush early this morning (Sunday),” the source revealed.
