Gunmen terrorize Abuja community, kidnap two in Kubwa

Gunmen on Friday invaded the Kubwa community in Abuja and abducted a man and his brother-in-law.
It was gathered that the incident occurred at about 12 am at Gbazango extension.

The gunmen numbering about 5, broke into the residence of a man identified as Mr Peter and whisked him away along with his brother-in-law. The assailants also shot three vigilantes.

The incident occurred three weeks after gunmen abducted a retired Assistant Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Abdulahi Rakieu and three other persons in the Tungan Maje area of Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.

A journalist and two sons of a widow were also abducted from their homes in the Arab Road area of Kubwa, Abuja in the first week of February.
