The popular Gwarimpa market in Abuja in the early hours of Thursday went up in flames.
Wares estimated at millions of naira were destroyed by the mysterious fire at the market
The fire reportedly started from one of the stores in the market at 2:00 am before it spread to other shops. The source of the inferno was however could not be immediately ascertained.
In the videos of the incident posted on social media showed firefighters from the Federal Capital Territory Fire Service could be seen battling to put out the blaze which consumed several shops and makeshift stalls.
