The former security guards of Chicken Republic, Matthew Precious Kelechi and Amakor Johnson, fondly known as the Happie Boys, have reportedly been repatriated to Nigeria after a year-long scholarship program in Cyprus.
In 2022, the Happie Boys were granted scholarships to study in Cyprus by Apostle Chinyere Chibuzor of the Omega Power Ministries (OPM) after they were terminated from their jobs for their dancing videos.
However, their behavior took a downturn during their stay in Cyprus, which ultimately led to a fallout with Apostle Chibuzor.
In the wake of their dispute, the Happie Boys found themselves incarcerated in Cyprus, prompting the OPM pastor to engage legal assistance to secure their release.
As per recent reports from the New Telegraph, the Happie Boys have now been repatriated to Nigeria. It is alleged that they are currently in Abuja, staying at the Utako Hotel.
A social media user disclosed, “BREAKING: Happie Boys deported to Nigeria from Cyprus, they arrived in Nigeria last night and are in one hotel in Utako, Abuja.”
