Hardship: Shettima, Akpabio deceiving Tinubu – Primate Ayodele warns

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has advised President Bola Tinubu not to heed the remarks of Vice President Kashim Shettima and Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who dismissed recent protests against hardship as sponsored.

Ayodele told Tinubu that Shettima and Akpabio are deceiving him, as Nigerians are genuinely suffering, motivating them to take to the streets to voice their grievances.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Oluwatosin Osho, Ayodele criticized the insensitivity of both individuals toward the plight of Nigerians, reducing their legitimate concerns to mere political chatter while the government should be addressing the citizens’ needs.

He asserted: “The country urgently requires action; otherwise, Nigeria will continue to face hardships. Tinubu should disregard those misleading him; people are in agony, and there is no orchestration behind the protests.”

“People are frustrated and feeling the brunt of the economy. Tinubu should not entertain irrelevant distractions; everything is in disarray,” Ayodele added.

He urged Tinubu to take proactive steps before it becomes too late, condemning Akpabio’s dismissal of the protests as insensitive and Shettima’s assertion as out of touch with reality.

“Instead of pointing fingers, your administration should focus on delivering results,” Ayodele concluded.
