Hassan Saleh under fire for saying Idoma youths lack home training
Former House of Representatives member, Hassan Anthony Saleh, is currently at the receiving end of harsh criticisms for insulting Idoma youths.
Saleh, who is eyeing Benue South Senate seat, got more than what he bargained for after he posted a letter on Facebook announcing his resignation as a Senior Legislative Aide to his former colleague and now Speaker of the Green Chamber, Femi Gbajabiamila, to chase his senatorial ambition, IDOMA VOICE reports.
This, however, did not go down well with some youths, who wondered if he is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party or the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Some knocked him for not even relinquishing such a post to one of his supporters, an action many people termed as greedy on his part.
Following the backlash that trailed his post, the former legislator quickly pulled it down from his wall.
He, however, released a fresh statement bashing Idoma youths who dared to question him.
He said those who criticized him lack home training and are poor.
He wrote, “One also wonder if poverty inhibits the thought process of individuals because I cringe when they make remarks about other people most times as though they lack home training”, – Hon. Hassan Saleh, SLA to Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, draws battle lines with Idoma youths. [sic].
This, however, stirred the hornet’s nest as many youths came for his head for daring to insult the hardworking Idoma youths.
