About Us: Humankind Charity, in collaboration with Project 6, proudly presents Likewise, a revolutionary alcohol and drug service dedicated to supporting adults in Sheffield. Our mission at Likewise is to empower individuals to make healthier choices regarding alcohol and drug use, enhancing safety and promoting recovery through comprehensive services. Commissioned by Sheffield City Council, Likewise creates a safe, supportive environment where individuals can develop essential life skills, regain confidence, and achieve lasting recovery.
About the Role: As a Health Care Assistant with a special interest in Wound Care, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Clinical Team. This highly rewarding position involves health care assessments, harm reduction interventions, referrals to additional services, and contributing to training and development within the service.
Your Responsibilities:
- Passion for Tissue Viability and wound care
- Proficiency in the fundamentals of wound care
- Conducting vascular assessments with Electronic Doppler
- Assisting the clinical team in the delivery of wound care intervention
- Application of Compression Therapy under clinician supervision
- Regular wound reviews and documentation
- Providing appropriate advice to clients
About You: To succeed in this role, we seek candidates with a genuine passion for Tissue Viability and Wound Care, possessing a good understanding of the fundamentals of wound care. Experience in vascular assessments with Electronic Doppler and assisting in Compression Therapy applications is desirable. No experience is necessary due to our commitment to comprehensive training.
