Ambassador Helen Onah has made history as the newly elected Chairman of the Benue State Chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), becoming the first Igede person to hold the position in the guild’s 18-year history.
Onah secured a decisive victory in the election, polling 38 votes to defeat her opponents, David Ejembi and Andrew Ibi, who garnered 8 and 7 votes, respectively.
Her overwhelming win reflects strong support from guild members and recognition of her commitment to the industry.
As Chairman, Onah is expected to bring fresh perspectives and initiatives to the Benue State AGN, furthering its mission of promoting and protecting the interests of actors.
With over one million registered members nationwide, the AGN plays a crucial role in showcasing Nigeria’s cultural heritage through film and television.
