The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2023 general elections and Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Titus Uba and his Deputy, Sir John Ngbede, Saturday 5th November, 2022 had a stopover at Yelewata community while returning from Abuja to empathize with the people over the recent herdsmen attacks that claimed several lives and directed immediate drilling of Borehole at Yelewata to arrest issue of perennial water scarcity.
Yelewata is a gateway into Benue and one of the densely populated towns in Isherev land that is most devastated by the incessant herdsmen attacks in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
The PDP guber candidate condemned the attacks in strong terms and appreciated the gallant youths of the area for their unyielding efforts in defending their fatherland in the face of all daunting odds.
The community members in their separate speeches appreciated the State number one Lawmaker for the visit and for coming to their aid and wished him well in his governorship ambition.
The PDP guber candidate was also accompanied by member representing Guma State Constituency, Hon Barr. William Iortyom, Chief Tyover Atile, his official aides and many others.
