Herdsmen: 7 killed, vehicles burnt as suspected militias invade Plateau village

No fewer than 7 persons were feared killed in a fresh attack on Nding Susut village in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.

It was gathered that the suspected herdsmen stormed the village on New Year’s eve, killing the seven residents and setting over 300 houses ablaze.

Several vehicles and motorcycles, as well as farm produce, were also destroyed in the attack.

This is the latest of series of attacks witnessed in the state.

On December 30, four persons were killed and three others injured in an ambush at Gwom Nding Village of Fan District in the same LG.

The spokesman for the Police Command in the state, Tyopev Mathias, explained that unknown gunmen attacked a Peugeot 504 Station Wagon on the way to Nding Village.
