This followed the quick intervention of troops of the Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS).
IDOMA VOICE reports that suspected herdsmen had launched attack on Ikobi community last night but the quick intervention of troops of the OPWS who were deployed to the area brought the situation under control.
A source told IDOMA VOICE that the moment Major General Adeyemi Yekini Commander, Operation Whirl Stroke was informed about the development, he quickly swung into action and moved his men there.
“They slept in Apa. They are still there. Right now, the situation is under control. Normalcy has returned to the area. People now go about their businesses,” a source who does not want his mentioned told our reporter.
When asked how many people died in the incident, another source said, “I think just two people were injured. They have been taken to the hospital treatment.
“The quick intervention of troops of the Operation Whirl Stroke saved the situation. Peace has returned to the area. As at this morning, we even still saw some soldiers still patrolling the place,” he added..
