Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has reiterated his stand that herdsmen don’t need to seek permission from anybody to settle in any part of Nigeria.

According to him, Nigeria belongs to everybody and if anyone chooses to settle in the forest, it is the person’s choice.

He was reacting to the ongoing herdsmen crisis in Yorubaland while speaking on Channels TV on Friday morning.

According to him, “Nigerians don’t need the permission of governors to settle anywhere. You don’t need the permission of the Governor of Bauchi or Ondo to be in the forest of Bauchi or Ondo if you choose to live in the forest.

“The Fulani man is so exposed, dehumanised and his commonwealth (cows) taken away… when we mention AK-47, it is a figure of speech, .”
