The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has felicitated with the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, on the occasion of his birthday.
PDP in a statement by its National Organising Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, Saturday, described Ortom as a fearless, gallant and forthright leader; an excellent and focused administrator who remains unwavering in his commitment to the wellbeing, security and survival of the people of Benue State.
The party also commended the Benue State Governor’s commitment to the unity, stability, and development of Nigeria.
According to the party “Governor Ortom stands firm in upholding the truth, justice, application of true federalism and Constitutional Order despite unceasing harassments and numerous threats to his life from anti-democratic elements who seek to subjugate the rights and entitlements of Nigerians, particularly the people of Benue State.
The statement partly read “Our Party salutes Governor Ortom’s resilience in steering the ship of Benue State to achieve massive human capital and infrastructural development in critical sectors of the economy despite daunting challenges.
“Governor Ortom continues to display an exceptional sense of patriotism in his roles with other leaders of the PDP in stabilizing our Party and charting the way forward in the mission to Rescue and Rebuild our nation from the misrule of the All Progressives Congress (APC)”.
The major opposition party prayed to the Almighty God to continue to protect and grant Ortom many more years in his service to humanity.
