High wedding ring costs linked to higher divorce rates – Rapper Eldee

Popular Nigerian hip-hop artist Sikirullahi Olanrewaju Dabiri, popularly known as Eldee The Don, has expressed his belief that couples who prioritize the monetary value of engagement and wedding rings are more susceptible to divorce.

Eldee conveyed this perspective through a recent post on his Instagram story.

In his statement, Eldee emphasized that allocating a significant amount of money to wedding-related expenses, especially rings, is generally considered financially irresponsible.

He cited a study that suggests a correlation between higher spending on wedding and engagement rings and an increased likelihood of divorce.

Eldee concluded by stating that individuals who prioritize such expenditures might lack financial responsibility, leading to eventual conflicts over money matters in their relationships.
