Alan Fisher, a talented Irish restaurant owner and chef based in Japan, has achieved an extraordinary feat by breaking two Guinness World Records related to cooking marathons.
Fisher’s first impressive achievement was setting a new record for the “longest cooking marathon (individual),” surpassing the previous record held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci by more than 24 hours. Fisher cooked tirelessly for an astonishing 119 hours and 57 minutes, establishing a new benchmark in this category.
Following this remarkable accomplishment, Fisher demonstrated his culinary prowess once again by attempting the “longest baking marathon (individual).” He succeeded in setting a new record with an impressive time of 47 hours and 21 minutes. The previous record was held by Wendy Sandner from the United States, with a time of 31 hours and 16 minutes.
What makes Fisher’s achievements even more remarkable is that he undertook both record-breaking attempts back-to-back, enduring a grueling schedule that had him in the kitchen for over 160 hours. There was just over a day of rest between these remarkable feats.
