An unknown man was hit and killed by a suspected ‘hit and run’ driver along Ijege/Ugbokolo road yesterday, Tuesday evening.
Villagers are worrying over the delay by concerned authorities to lift the already decomposing body off the road. The odoriferous effects of the decomposing body have forced the Ijege villagers to desert the Ugbokolo satellite settlement.
The Okpokwu Local Government Council chairman, Hon. Amina Audu, the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Ugbokolo Divisional Police Headquarters, the Benue State Environmental Sanitation Agency headed by Hon. Solomon Onah, and other concerned authorities are by this information enjoined to take the necessary action with immediate alacrity in other to restore sanity to Ijege.
