Coal was first discovered in Owukpa in the year 1957 and the Enugu started mining on theirs.
Some weeks ago, the House of reps member representating Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo constituency, Hon. Ottah talked about Owukpa coal and other natural resources in Ado local government.
The Senator representing the people of Benue south senatorial districts, His excellency, Sen. Patrick Abba Moro also talked about the Owukpa coal in his speech at the Idoma convention, New York(United state of American) few days back?
I am using this means to draw the attention of the federal government, state to see how blessed we the people of Owukpa, Benue and Nigeria are with the photos above.
Owukpa coal is rated one of the best coal in the world, yet the community remains underdeveloped.
Enugu state got the name “coal city’ because of the coal under their land which developed almost all parts of Enugu.
Whenever mining is going on in any coal site or catchment area, thousands of job are given to applicants, thus reduces unemployment in the country.
My community Owukpa shouldn’t be this backward with this type of coal that almost the State and country will benefit from at Job opportunity for citizens.
Until the federal or state government give full attention to the “Owukpa coal” I will not rest here.
We are begging for exploitation as everywhere in Owukpa is coal.
I wish to draw the attention of our Governor, the Sen. And our house of reps member attention to it because you can help carry the message to interested investors. Investment in the coal exploitation with this quality, goes with limitless opportunities.
Please share it to the world for me, my community and Nigeria.
Thanks?
Osita Darkface.
