Hon. Odoh Ugwu visits River Benue Area, issues warning alert to residents

The newly sworn in commissioner for water resources, environment and climate change, Hon Odoh Ugwu accompanied by the Permanent Secretary and top Directors on Thursday, 31/8/2023, stormed the Benue state water works, Wadata ricemill and other river banks areas.

He issued the impending flood warning alert and advised the resident to relocate to safer areas.

Hon Odoh disclosed that the ministry will ensure the opening up of drainage channels and blocked waterways to allow freeflow of water by reducing flooding.

He also paid a visit to the modern market where he summoned the management for failing to keep the market environment clean.
