A private residence in Ai-Famu in Owukpa, a community in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State has been looted by some hoodlums.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that the incident happened during the week.

Our reporter gathered that the looted house belongs to a serving police officer known as ASP Ameh.

The looters, who broke into the compound through the back fence; stole items such as flat screen television, generator, chairs and others valuables.

A resident of the community, who gave his name as Agbo, said the looter were led by a native of Ichama in Okpokwu LGA.

“They looted so many things from ASP Ameh’s house. It is sad because the owner of the house is not a politician. He’s a civil servant. I wonder why they decided to raid his house. The gang leader is not from Owukpa here. He’s a student writing NECO. They have been arrested,” he said.

Confirming the development, the wonder of the house told IDOMA VOICE that the looters have been arrested by the vigilante and handed over the police in Oroka, division.

“They have been arrested, I am driving now. Will give your details later,” he said.
