Horror in Benue

Two young men were on Thursday stoned to death in Aliede area of Benue State for allegedly stealing a motorcycle.

One of the victims was identified as Labister, a native of Tiv, while his second whose identity could not be ascertained at the moment hailed from Idoma speaking part of the state.

DAILY POST was informed that the suspects were caught with a stolen motorcycle Thursday afternoon and were killed by angry community youths. An eyewitness told this reporter that efforts by the community elders to rescue the young men and hand them over to the police were futile as the mob insisted on killing them so it could serve as a deterrent to others.

Several efforts to reach the Benue Police PRO failed as his phones rang endlessly and went unanswered. For Advert: Call 08171607004, 09058228464 Follow us on Twitter @idomavoice, @idomanews Send us releases at idomavoice@gmail.com
