A 17-year-old boy named Goodness Oshodi is accused of burying his younger brother, Friday Oshodi, alive in kogi. The incident reportedly took place in Apamsede, a suburb of Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, following allegations that Friday had stolen N1,000.
hAccording to sources in Apamsede, Friday had a history of theft, and in an attempt to curb his actions, their mother instructed his elder brother, Goodness, to discipline him. However, instead of administering a reasonable punishment, Goodness allegedly led Friday to a nearby bush and buried him alive.
The heinous act was uncovered when vigilant members of the community, shocked by the crime, exhumed Friday and reported the incident to the police.
The Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP. William Ovie Aya, confirmed the incident and stated that Goodness had been apprehended. He also mentioned that the victim is a seven-year-old boy who had a history of theft. The mother’s intention was to discipline him, but the situation escalated. The police have initiated an investigation into the case.
