Barely 48 hours after a Nigerian Airforce helicopter crashed landed in Abuja killing all crew on board, another military tragedy was averted in Opobo, Rivers State, on Monday.
A Nigerian Navy jubilee gunboat with visual call sign JEF 5 on routine patrol along Opobo waterways capsized with 5 crewmen aboard.
However, the 5 officers escaped unscathed.
According to online reports, investigation has revealed that the boat mishap was caused by a fire.
