How actor John Okafor Mr Ibu died, his last moment [UPDATED]

Fresh facts have emerged over the death of comic Nollywood actor, John Okafor, otherwise known as Mr Ibu.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Mr Ibu passed away at the age of 62 at the Evercare Hospital in Lekki Lagos around 7pm on Saturday.

Recall that Ibu had his two legs amputated after being diagnosed with blood vessels.

Meanwhile, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, has revealed the cause of Nollywood actor John Okafor’s, widely known as Mr Ibu, passing.

In a Instagram post on Saturday evening, Rollas conveyed that Mr Ibu “had a cardiac arrest.”

“Kate Henshaw lost her mother earlier, and according to his manager of 24 years, Mr. Don Single Nwuzor, Mr. Ibu suffered a cardiac arrest.

“With a heavy heart, I must announce that Mr. Ibu did not make it.

“May his soul rest in eternal peace.”

Mr. Ibu” catapulted John Okafor to stardom, earning him the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Comic Actor in Nigeria in 2005. His comedic genius and hilarious performances made him a household name across the country.
