How Akwa Ibom First Lady, Patience Umo Eno died

Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, wife of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has passed away.

The sad news was announced by the State Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, in a press statement released early Friday.

According to the statement, the First Lady died on September 26, 2024, in a hospital, surrounded by her family.

Titled “Unexpected Sunset,” the statement read, “With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of the Wife of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, after a brief illness. She passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024, with her family by her side.

“The family submits to the will of the Almighty and seeks the prayers and support of compassionate individuals during this difficult period.

“Further details will be provided by the family as necessary. For now, they request privacy as they mourn their beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.

“His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno, deeply appreciates everyone who has stood by the first family during this time and assures the citizens that, despite this immense personal loss, his commitment to serving the state remains steadfast.”
