A group of bandits recently attacked the convoy of the Kaduna State All Progressive Congress, APC, gubernatorial candidate, Sen. Uba Sani, kidnapping some chieftains of the party along the Kaduna-Kachia highway in Kaduna state.
It was gathered that the APC chieftains were on their way back from Kafanchan after a political meeting with Christian leaders in the Southern Senatorial District on Thursday, September 22.
An eye witness who escaped being attacked told newsmen that not less than five vehicles were affected after the assailants opened fire on the politicians sporadically, leaving some persons injured and kidnapping two others.
The kidnap victims are the APC’s candidate for the House of Assembly in Kajuru, Hon. Madaki, and the vice chairman of the Kajuru local government area, Hon. Ruben Waziri.
However, The police are yet to release a statement on the incident as at the time of filing this report.
