How Benue Links’ Driver killed our son, disappeared – Jeremiah Ujah’s family cries out

The family of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Ujah has cried out over the death of their son, Jeremiah Oneh Ujah in a fatal accident involving a bus belonging to Benue Links Transport Company.
Ujah, until his demise on October 28 was a student of the University of Jos.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that the late Jeremiah had boarded the bus from Jos enroute Makurdi, the Benue State capital to visit his sick father but the ill-fated vehicle crashed at Mgban village, along the ever busy Makurdi-Lafia road due to the recklessness of the driver.
A letter written to the Benue State-owned transport company by the deceased lawyer, Ochogwu, Ochogwu and Associates is demanding a compensation of N50m as well as a written apology.

He wrote, “The most irksome, barbaric and unbearable is the fact that there has been no form of communication; formal or informal from your company to our client over the incident.
“It is our clients instruction that the tragic death of their beloved son caused by the recklessness of your driver has brought untold anguish, grief and psychological trauma on the immediate family and the deceased sick father in particular and in accordance to our clients instructions, we demand immediate action with written apology and N50,000,000 compensation for damage and perpetual agony inflicted upon our clients and their immediate family,” Ochogwu added.
Meanwhile, a police report obtained by IDOMA VOICE showed that the ugly incident caused by the driver’s carelessness.
