Aluko-Olaseni died after bravely battling cancer for eight years.
The Nigerian Football Federation announced her passing in a post via its official account, @thenff, late Saturday night.
The post read, “We are saddened by the passing of former @NGSuper_Falcons goalkeeper, Bidemi Aluko-Olaseni, after her courageous eight-year battle with cancer. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time. May her gentle soul rest in peace.”
During her time as a goalkeeper for the Super Falcons, Aluko-Olaseni contributed her talents to teams such as Rivers Angels and Sunshine Queens.
