How I survived four assassination attempts in Kogi – Dino Melaye

Dino Melaye, the designated Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the upcoming gubernatorial election in Kogi State, claimed on Thursday that he has survived four assassination attempts in the state.

Melaye attributed these attempts to the All Progressives Congress (APC), emphasizing that the party has violence ingrained in its nature.

He made these statements during an appearance on Arise Television.

The former Senator for Kogi West expressed that tension has become a norm for the people of Kogi since the APC assumed power seven years ago.

Melaye shared, “I have been through four assassination attempts, faced 12 court cases of FG vs. Dino Melaye, and experienced multiple attacks. This is not a new phenomenon; violence seems to be deeply embedded in the APC’s character.”

“Kogi State is in a dire state, in need of immediate redevelopment and a savior,” he added.

The former senator aspires to play a significant role in alleviating the challenges faced by the state’s residents.

He also pointed out that the current situation in Kogi is unprecedented, expressing concern that the state is more divided than ever before in its history.
