How Kogi Deputy Gov, wife prostrated before Yahaya Bello after swearing-in (WATCH)

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Salifu Joel Oyibo, exhibited a gesture of respect on Saturday as he prostrated before the immediate past governor of the state, Yahaya Bello.

The video capturing the moment showcases Oyibo’s wife also kneeling before Bello and his wife immediately after the deputy governor’s swearing-in ceremony.

Following the administration of the oath of office by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Josiah Majebi, Oyibo and his wife walked towards Bello, demonstrating their reverence by prostrating before him.

Oyibo and Governor Usman Ododo emerged as the winners of the governorship election held in November 2023.

However, Ododo wasted no time in making his first set of appointments shortly after being sworn in. Surprisingly, he retained Bello’s loyalists, nephew, and some commissioners in his administration.

Meanwhile, Ali Bello, who is currently facing allegations of a N3 billion fraud, was appointed as the Chief of Staff by Governor Ododo.
