Re: Dickson Akoh Press Release; Attack on Jime/Ode and APC is a case of transferred aggression. His anger would have been justified if he directed it to Chief Steven Lawani and his team who dragged him into the race and abandoned him.
1. The deep anger displayed by Dickson Akoh through the instrumentality of what he taged “Why I Parted ways with All Progressive Congress, APC” would have been just only if he directed the anger to Chief Lawani and his group who drag him into spending so much for their ambitions and abandoned him at the peak of the power tussle.
2. Dickson Akor had a concrete reciprocal support arrangement with Chief Lawani’s team before the just concluded APC primaries in Benue State, since Lawani is the Oracle’s anointed, every one in that team expected easy victory for all interest and ambition in the camp.
3. The arrangement is for Dickson Akoh to partly finance and supports Lawani emergence as the APC senatorial candidate for Benue South. In turn, Lawani and his team will reciprocate by pushing for Akor to become the deputy governorship candidate of the APC…
4. Dickson Akoh kept his part of the agreement with all sense of comment and loyalty, this is because he had an assurance from the Oracle kitchen cabinets. Unfortunately, Akoh didn’t know that he was only being use by the Lawani camp to achieve their political interest.
5.Dickson Akoh was live at Apa Gate Hotel, he spent fortune legitimately and illegitimately to ensure he kept his part of the bargain. At a point when the Zone B influence obviously was not enough to give Chief Lawani victory, Akoh threw caution to the wind and the rest was vote buying and inducement of delegates …. This results in what I call appalling victory that made Chief Lawani the APC senatorial candidate.
After the senatorial primary…… The conservative Chief activated the all man answer your father’s name mode….. Baba lock up.
6. The Jesus, Peter and the cock crow story in the bile is the only scenario to explain Dickson Akoh’s political predicament after the night Lawani picked the Benue South APC senatorial ticket
While Dickson Akoh was celebrating Lawani victory with a bottle of stout half opened, Chief Lawani team was in a change of plan meeting…
Peter denied Jesus Christ three times before the cock crowed but at the peak of the power tussle for APC deputy governorship candidate, Lawani and his team denied Akoh more than 12 times before the cock crowed
7. Immediately after the APC senatorial primaries, Chief Lawani team abandoned Dickson Akoh who political interest required their support. Rather than staying back in Nigeria to push for Akoh’s deputy governorship ambition as agreed… Chief Lawani traveled to London in other to stay away from the political hullabaloo……
8. While he was away, his close associate acted against Akoh’s political interest.
It’s quite unfortunate that he has a good number of great guys around himself but couldn’t see how well they were used and dumped after APC primaries.
9. Jime bought form from the APC, campaign and became APC governorship candidate.
Dickson Akoh didn’t support Jime ab initio… The decision of who become the deputy governor start and stop at Jime’s table….
When it’s obvious that many people are interested in working with him, a committee was set up to screen all candidate and make recommendations. The committee did their job, majority of the Benue South APC elder, including Chief Lawani supported Sam Ode.
At this point, it was obvious to the entire APC elders council that any contrary decision will cause the party unprecedented defeat in the general elections….
Sam Ode has the support of a very good number of youths across all interest in Benue South and Benue at large, he has the support of most elders… Jime only support the majority interest by choosing Sam Ode. Consequently, neither Jime nor Sam ode did any wrong to Dickson Akoh, attacking this two in that press statement was a misplaced anger and unnecessary.
10. APC didn’t sell form for deputy governor, as such couldn’t have offend anybody in the process of selection. It’s only the people who bought form from the party and were not given free and fair process that should complain. Deputy governor is Jime’s choice to make. Consequently, being angry with the APC because he was not favoured is misplaced anger and unnecessary.
11. If the APC elders were with Akoh, or minority of the Benue South political leaders were with him as painted on social media, many would have decamped with him to SDP but the only people that decamped with him are his social media team…. This an indication that Sam Ode was the choice of the majority interest.
12. The anger that was exhibited on social media by several youths after the APC primary against Akoh was not motivated by anybody, not even Daniel Onjeh as popularly alleged, Daniel Onjeh couldn’t have a direct control over such large numbers of youths, it”s rather a reaction from youths all over who are angry over his role at APA Gate Hotels….. The #NotYoungRun interest is bigger than Daniel Onjeh himself.. Onjeh only fit into our dream……
Our support for Sam Ode is to reduce excessive monetization of the electoral process. When a man claim to have spent as much as Akoh claimed to have spent on primaries only, expects him to first recoup his money with profit before thinking of bringing development to our doorsteps…..that’s why Jime was not made to spend too much during the primary so he won’t be indebted to anybody. We will vote them without votes selling and votes buying, as well demand development from them with free and cleared conscience.
