How Mohbad attempted suicide over issues with Naira Marley

Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda, born Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, has revealed a distressing incident involving his colleague Mohbad (deceased), highlighting the toll of their rift with the former record label, Marlian Music.

Recalling the incident in a conversation with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Bella Shmurda explained that Mohbad had reached a point where he contemplated suicide due to the issues he faced with his record label. He disclosed that they were in an apartment together, and Mohbad expressed his desire to jump from an upstairs window.

According to Bella Shmurda, they managed to prevent Mohbad from taking such a drastic step. He recounted the incident, saying, “There was a time, me and Mohbad were in an apartment, and Mohbad was like he wanted to jump from the upstairs because of the issues he was having with his record label. We held him by the window. Mohbad has almost jumped; it was his girlfriend that entered the room and saw him sitting down at the window.”

Bella Shmurda further explained that Mohbad had to undergo therapy sessions and receive treatment for hypertension in the hospital before he could recover from the distress caused by his experiences with his former record label.
