A tailor, Terna Akaakohol, popularly known as “Asauta,” was yesterday night allegedly beaten to death by men suspected to be Nigerian Soldiers.
It was gathered that the incident happened on Monday night at the popular Wurukum roundabout when the deceased had close from his tailoring shop and was heading to his house.
According to Tersoo Akaakohol and Mesi Maraj who claimed to be family members of the deceased, ‘Asauta’ was innocent and unarmed.
“Terna Akaakohol popularly known as Asauta, a tailor, my eldest brother gave up as a result of soldier beatings, at wurukum in the night, what a rubbish country is Nigeria killing unarmed civilian,” a local news medium, Citizen TV quoted Tersoo Akaakohol as saying.
“What a rubbish country is Nigeria killing unarmed civilian.”
Mesi Miraj said: “All my brother did was come back from work in the night.. Man never hurt nobody. My brother begged for mercy.. But they didn’t listen, they beat him to death.. My brother is dead.. My brother’s plans all gone”
She added “The only images I’m getting is how he was beaten, how he cried, screamed and begged for mercy but they wouldn’t listen..Rip brother”
