Junior Pope Odonwodo, also known as Jnr Pope, was among four actors who lost their lives in a devastating accident while returning from a movie production location. The unfortunate incident occurred on Wednesday, April 10, along the Anam River in Anambra State.
Earlier on the fateful day, Jnr Pope had shared a video of himself aboard a boat, fervently praying for a safe journey as he crossed a river without a life jacket. Regrettably, it is reported that the accident occurred during their return journey from the filming location. Sadly, Junior Pope and three others succumbed to the tragedy when their boat capsized, leading to their drowning.
Their lifeless bodies have since been recovered, marking a heartbreaking end to the ill-fated voyage. The beloved actor leaves behind his wife and three children, plunging his family and fans into profound grief. The Nollywood fraternity mourns the loss of Junior Pope and his fellow actors, reflecting on the fragility of life and the unpredictable nature of fate.
