How Senator Gbenga Aluko slumped, died in his office in Abuja

A former Governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Senator Gbenga Aluko, aged 53 is dead. Eons intelligence reports he died in Abuja after slumping in his office.

 

He hails from Ode-Ekiti in Ekiti State. Although details of his untimely demise were still quite sketchy as at the time of filing this report, sources say he was immediately rushed to an unnamed hospital in the Asokoro Area of the FCT, where he was reportedly pronounced dead.

 

However, close aides who spoke to newsmen in confidence said he was hale and hearty before the unfortunate incident. Others say the death might have been as a result of a cardiac arrest.

 

He was the deputy Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate from 1999 to 2003. He is the son of the late Professor Sam Aluko, the renowned Economist. He was in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2003.

 

He is survived by a wife and seven children.
