Senator Abba Patrick Moro, representing Benue South Senatorial District and serving as the Minority Leader of the Senate, has unveiled a foreign scholarship program aimed at supporting 50 indigent students across the nine local government areas of Benue South.
The scholarship initiative, set to commence in the September/October 2025 academic session, is designed to ease the financial burden on low-income families and provide access to high-quality education abroad.
Senator Moro emphasized that the program underscores his commitment to educational empowerment and human capital development within the district.
Eligible indigent students from the Benue South Senatorial District can apply for the scholarship by following these steps:
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be from one of the nine local government areas in Benue South.
Must have a minimum of five credits in O’Level results, including English and Mathematics.
Must be interested in one of the approved courses of study (see list below).
