How to apply for Nigeria Customs Service 2025 recruitment

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has officially launched its 2025 recruitment exercise, assuring Nigerians that the process will be free and fair.

The agency has warned the public to be cautious of scammers who might attempt to exploit applicants during this period.

The recruitment drive aims to fill 3,927 positions in the Superintendent, Inspector, and Customs Assistant cadres, as part of efforts to boost trade facilitation and contribute to Nigeria’s economic recovery.

“Our recruitment process is completely free and fair. We do not charge any fees at any stage. Anyone requesting money is a scammer,” the NCS stated, advising applicants to be vigilant against fraudulent activities.

The eligibility requirements for candidates include Nigerian citizenship by birth, possession of a valid National Identification Number (NIN), and a clean criminal record.

Academic qualifications required are as follows:

  • Superintendent Cadre: A university degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) with an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
  • Inspectorate Cadre: A National Diploma (ND) or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) from a recognized institution.
  • Customs Assistant Cadre: At least an O’Level certificate (WAEC or NECO).

Applicants must also provide evidence of physical and mental fitness from a recognized government hospital.

The application portal opens on 27 December 2024 and closes on 2 January 2025. Interested candidates can apply at https://recruitment.customs.gov.ng.

The NCS emphasized its commitment to a transparent process and encouraged eligible Nigerians to apply.
