The Federal Government has officially launched the Presidential Conditional Grant Scheme (PCGS), a key component of the Presidential Palliative Program targeting Nano Businesses nationwide. Beneficiaries are set to receive a grant of N50,000.00 per individual, with the initiative aiming to reach one million nano businesses spanning the 774 local government areas in the country.
In collaboration with State Governments, Honourable Ministers, NASME (Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises), Senators, and House of Representatives members, the Federal Government will employ specific selection criteria to identify beneficiaries within their respective constituencies.
The FG disclosed that the primary focus is on 70% women and youth, 10% people with disabilities, 5% senior citizens, and the remaining 15% distributed among other demographics.
The target sectors eligible for the scheme include Traders (single retail marketers, corner shop owners, petty traders, market men and women), Food Services (food and vegetable vendors), ICT (business center operators, battery chargers, recharge card vendors, and call center agents), Transportation (wheelbarrow pushers and independent dispatch riders), Creatives (makeup artists, fashion designers, and dry cleaners), and Artisans (vulcanizers, shoemakers, painters, and repairers).

Eligible beneficiaries are encouraged to contact their representatives for the shortlisting process, ensuring they meet all selection criteria.
