How woman slumped, died while sharing testimony in Lagos church

A 55-year-old woman, identified only as Ifeoma, reportedly died shortly after collapsing while sharing a testimony at the Ministry Church in Ejigbo, Lagos State.

IDOMA VOICE learnt the incident occurred around 8:48 am during Sunday service on September 8, 2024. Ifeoma collapsed just moments after starting her testimony.

State police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident on Wednesday.

Hundeyin explained that Ifeoma had gone to the front of the church, singing songs of gratitude before she suddenly fell.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was later referred to the General Hospital in Isolo, where she was pronounced dead.

Hundeyin added, “The Zonal Accountant of the church reported that Ifeoma collapsed while giving her testimony. She was first taken to a local hospital and then transferred to the General Hospital in Isolo, where she was confirmed dead.

Detectives were dispatched to the hospital with the complainant, but they were informed that the deceased’s family had taken the body to Anambra State for burial.”
