Humility: Gov Ortom serves his aides food

By Jimin Geoffrey

In his usual show of humility, Governor Samuel Ortom today personally served his aides and friends food at the Governor’s Lodge, Benue Peoples House Makurdi.

The Governor said his aides have been working for him all this while and today was his turn to also serve them, stressing that “what you sow is what you reap.”

He said he and his wife appreciate all their aides for always standing by them and prayed God to reward them abundantly.

The Governor enjoined his aides and those of his wife to continue to do their work as unto God, saying theirs is service to the state.

He stated that if God wills, those serving him will one day be in positions of authority and be served by others.

Responding on behalf of the aides, Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties, Hon Abrahams Kwaghngu thanked the Governor and his wife, Dr Eunice Ortom for the love they had shown their aides, saying the first family’s humble disposition has been a source of inspiration to their subordinates.
