‘I am heartbroken’ – Beyoncé condemns massacre of protesters in Nigeria

American singer and actress, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, says she’s heartbroken over the killings of youths in Nigeria.

Soldiers have killed scores of Nigerian youths who are protesting against police brutality.

Beyoncé described the massacre as senseless and should be stopped forthwith.

She wrote, “I AM HEARTBROKEN TO SEE THE SENSELESS BRUTALITY TAKING PLACE IN NIGERIA. THERE HAS TO BE AN END TO SARS.

“WE HAVE BEEN WORKING ON PARTNERSHIPS WITH YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS TO SUPPORT THOSE PROTESTING FOR CHANGE. WE ARE COLLABORATING WITH COALITIONS TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY HEALTHCARE, FOOD AND SHELTER. TO OUR NIGERIAN SISTERS AND BROTHERS, WE STAND WITH YOU.
