“I am nervous“ – Lukaku names club he’ll join

Romelu Lukaku, the Chelsea striker has officially announced his impending transfer to AS Roma during the current summer transfer window.

Speaking to the Belgian media outlet Het Laatste Nieuws on the sidelines of a youth tournament in Boom, Antwerp province, Lukaku shared this news as his son made his debut appearance for Anderlecht.

The accomplished player, who has previously been associated with Manchester United and Everton, disclosed that he will be traveling to Rome on Sunday to formalize his commitment to AS Roma.

Exuding a mixture of excitement and apprehension, Lukaku stated, “I am nervous… Tomorrow I will fly to Rome to sign.”

Lukaku’s statement coincided with discussions taking place in London between Chelsea, his current club, and representatives from AS Roma, aiming to finalize the intricacies of the transfer deal.

Last season, Lukaku had been on loan with Inter Milan, and his upcoming move to AS Roma signals a new phase in his career. With his current absence from Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for the ongoing season, Lukaku’s journey to the Italian club heralds a fresh chapter in his footballing journey.
