Movie producer, Keke Bongos has reacted to the death of her mother, Josephine Bongos Ikweu.
IDOMA VOICE reports that the deceased, who was the wife of music legend, Bongos Ikwue on June 30.
She has since been laid to rest.
In a moving tribute to her mum, Keke said she is sad but still at peace despite the death of his mum.
He wrote, “I laid my mommy to rest a few days ago. This will take some time to process and absorb. This beautiful woman who loved loved loved to laugh. She loved to love and loved to be loved! God was evident in her until her last moment. God was merciful to her and to my family.
“Anyone that knows me knows that my mom was my best friend, and almost anyone that knows me has met her and have experienced her.
“I am sad, but at peace. Mommy did not die the death of mere mortals. She lives on in my and the hearts of the very many she touched. She has left me and my siblings really big shoes to fill with her service to God and mankind.
“She has woken me up to an even bigger in purpose in life. She has left me with no other option but to say
“Thank you Lord”. Thank You for blessing me with a mother like this! Thank You for Your kindness and mercies.”
