There had been speculations that the decision of the former minister to join the ruling party was to quench his corruption case before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), however, despite Fani-Kayode’s defection, the anti-graft agency last week invited him to their office over alleged forgery and manipulation of documents.
In his reaction to the latest happenings, Fani-Kayode on Saturday in a post on his Instagram account claimed that he is proud to be a member of APC months after he dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He added that he never said the ruling party has betrayed him, adding that he has no regret joining the party.
“I am proud to be a member of the APC. I have NO regrets. I NEVER said that APC has betrayed me. I am proud & honoured to be at the party.
“What God has ordained cannot be stopped. I shall be what God wants me to be. My destiny is irreversible and I am unstoppable.” He said.
Meanwhile, Fani-Kayode had earlier stated that joining the APC does not give him immunity.
Fani-Kayode stated this while reacting to the report of his arrest by the anti-graft agency.
According to the former minister in a post on his Facebook account Wednesday, there is nothing wrong if the commission had arrested him.
