I met my wife while distributing E-Money’s wedding cards – Kcee

Nigerian singer Kingsley Okonkwo, widely known as Kcee, has shared the story of how he met his wife, Ijeoma Okonkwo.

In a recent interview with VJ Adams, the ‘Limpopo’ artist recounted that he was handing out wedding invitations for his younger brother and business partner, Emeka Okonkwo (E-Money), when he first encountered his future wife.

Kcee described the moment as love at first sight. “I met my wife, Ijeoma, when I went to deliver E-Money’s wedding invitation to Charly Boy. The moment I saw her, I thought, ‘I want to marry this girl.’ I told Presh, ‘That’s my wife,’” he recalled with a laugh.

He approached Ijeoma and said, “I came to drop my brother’s wedding invite, but I’d like to invite you personally. I want to marry you.” Although she laughed and didn’t pay much attention at first, she later gave him her number after her colleague informed her who he was.

As they began to talk, Kcee was straightforward about his intentions: “I want to marry you. I don’t want to date you. If I date you, we won’t get married.” He emphasized the importance of seeking happiness in a relationship rather than focusing on flaws.

Kcee and Ijeoma tied the knot in 2010 and have since welcomed two children.
