Hon. Egli Johnson Ahubi, the Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly has Wednesday January 30th, 2019 stated that he only wants to be remembered for good deeds.

Hon. Egli who is the incumbent member representing Otukpo/Akpa State constituency and Otukpo/Ohimini Federal constituency candidate on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) made the statement while addressing electorates at Salem hospital road in Otukpo.

According to him: “I draw inspirations from God who has brought me from nothing to something and the likes of J S Takar, Nnamdi Azikiwe et’al who have in their service to their people and Nigeria written their names in history.

“As a State House of Assembly member, I’ve always put in a lot of work and energy into anything I do in order to make my consituents comfortable. I am willing to pay any price to see my people in better living conditions.

“I have donated transformers and electrified several communities from Idabi in Otukpo-Icho, Adim Akpa, Akpachi village in Okete ward, Otukpo Rice Mill, Adoka, and a host of other communities.

“Presently, I have a grader that I’m using to make several community roads motorable around Ohimini and Otukpo, I have a scholarship program that I even made payment for some of the beneficiaries yesterday Tuesday.

“I’m building and donating a modern clinic that is near completion at Upu village Otukpo, recall that during my constituency briefing, I donated dozens of sewing machines, grinding machines, generators, hair dryers and other saloon accessories to women, youths and elders in my constituency as part of my empowerment scheme.

“I’m responsible for the payment of hundreds of patients hospital bills at Royal Specialist Hospital, Otukpo. I have a card there.

“The message is love and love is the message. I want to advise each and everyone of us here today, to always do things based on the love we have for our neighbors and not hate. As individuals, everything that we become or ought to be is pre-ordained by God almighty.

“Today I have opponents that lost to me during the primary elections of our party. They have defected and have vowed to cause havoc to us but we will rebuke them because we have a God that is mightier than their so called money even though we are not seeing the effect of their money.

“I thank God for the capacity he has given me today. I am an orphan but today the Deputy Speaker of the Benue Assembly which made me the number 4 indigen of Benue automatically. My aspirations and candidature today signifies hope for the common child.

“Nobody can interfere with God’s plan, for those who are planning to terrorize people that day, we are prepared for them. Intimidation won’t be tolerated, your votes must count” he added.
