I paid informants N7.2 Billion as Governor- Senator T.A Orji

The former Governor of Abia State T.A Orji has uncovered how his N38.8 billion security votes while he was governor was spent. He stated that he shared much of the money with informants, members of the state House of Assembly, traditional rulers and others.

He also disclosed in a statement made to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that between 2007 and 2015 he paid informants N7.200 billion from his security votes and others was shared between members of the state House of Assembly and traditional rulers.

Orji who is also senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, told EFCC that he collected N38.8 billion and not N48billion as earlier reported.

The then Governor and now Senator, however, did not mention the names of the informants.
