I regret being cruel to my ex-girlfriends – Ruger

Nigerian music sensation, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, widely known as Ruger, has opened up about the inspiration behind his track ‘Dear Ex’ from his debut album, ‘Ru The World.’

In a recent viral video circulating online, the 23-year-old artist shared a candid insight into his past relationships, admitting to his own shortcomings and acknowledging the cruelty he displayed toward his former girlfriends, who were once very dear to him.

Ruger confessed, “Everything you hear on this album is like everything that has happened to me. There is this particular song called ‘Dear Ex’ on my album, which is about three simultaneous relationships I was involved in. I was so cruel to these wonderful women, and I didn’t allow them to move on until I was ready to let them go. I was in a constant cycle of leaving and returning, while they patiently waited for me. I came to realize that I had taken advantage of the situation. All three of them meant a lot to me.”
